Ever thought about sharing your knowledge as free video content on YouTube? 📹

Creating YouTube videos as a side hustle!

In addition to my work as a Freelancer for Social AR Effects, I share my knowledge on YouTube in form of video tutorials. I try to explain in a very simple way, how everyone can create their own AR Effects!

For the creation of the videos, I do a screen recording of the app I am working with and try as easily and as briefly as possible to explain what I do. Even though the topic is for a very small niche, I get a lot of views on my videos. The feedback from my viewers is great. It is really nice to see, how others get value from my videos.

So there is nothing new to learn, you just do your thing you are good at it and hit the record button before doing it!

But why no paid online course?

Of course, I could also do a paid online course, which I might do as an addition in the future! But I am a big fan of open knowledge and not everything should be hidden behind a paywall. But it is possible to earn some money with the YouTube Partner Program.

You will get new customers!

As a nice side effect, I get new customers through my videos. Because a potential client can stumble upon your videos and just haven’t the capacity or equipment to do it on their own. So they will contact you, because you just showed them with the video, that you are the one for the job! YouTube is the 2nd biggest search engine, behind Google, and with a little bit of SEO, you can make sure to be found there.

FAQ!

You may have some doubts about this.
So here is a small FAQ:

”But what should I do If I don’t feel comfortable in front of a camera?”

That is no problem. You can just make a faceless channel. Just start by recording your screen or do some scribbles. You don’t even have to record your voice.

”But can I do video content if I don’t have video editing skills?”

For sure! You don’t have to cut your videos or do fancy effects. It is all about the content. It doesn’t have to be a cinematic masterpiece.

”But what if I don’t have any skill others are interested in?

Think twice! Talk to your friends and colleagues, and ask them what they admire about you!

What is your skill which needs to be shared with the world?

Have a great day!
